New! First annual Earned Value conference in Europe

For the very first time, a conference is being held in Europe on the topic of Earned Value. "EVA Europe 2009" is taking place on 25 and 26 November at the CERN facilities in Geneva, Switzerland. The conference is a joint initiative of the Geneva School of Business Administration and CERN, with academic support from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and Ghent University. Mario Vanhoucke, partner at OR-AS, Associate Professor at Vlerick, is chairman of the scientific committee and one of the driving forces behind EVA Europe. The 2-day programme includes presentations, workshops, various formal and informal activities and numerous other networking opportunities.

The EVA Europe initiative was launched by a group of researchers and practitioners from the project management field. The initiative integrates research results from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and Ghent University with practical experience from a variety of countries (UK, Switzerland, Spain, USA, and others). EVA Europe offers both researchers and practitioners the chance to share their knowledge and to explore areas for further research.

OR-AS is very proud to announce that the Earned Value simulation study has been awarded by the IPMA Research Award 2008 in Rome, Italy.

Prof. Dr. M. Vanhoucke, partner of OR-AS and professor at Ghent University and Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School has been awarded on the 22nd IPMA World Congress held on November 9-11, 2008 in Rome (Italy).
